May 18 - Cinemagogue w/"Klezmatics on Holy Ground" at 7:00pm  

 

   You'll be tapping your toes (at the least) as Cinemagogue presents "Klezmatics on Holy Ground" Saturday at 7:00pm. The feature-length documentary is about the Grammy Award-winning klezmer band and covers three years of their highs and lows. The showing is free. Donations in support of Temple programming are strongly encouraged.                             

 

Sanctuary

May 19 - Sacred Sites Weekend from 9:00am-12:00noon

Temple will open its doors and welcome the community to come by and look at and learn about our 102 year old sanctuary, named to the National Register of Historic Places. Sacres Sites Weekend is sponsored by the New York Landmarks Conservancy.

May 31 - Annual Congregational Meeting & Dinner

The annual congregational meeting is Friday, May 31 at 6:45pm. It is preceded by a delicious catered deli dinner at 5:45 and followed by Shabbat service with the installation of officers and trustees at 7:30pm.

The dinner will be $15 for adults (13 and older), $10 for ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.  For the formal invitation and the text of the constitutional amendments and slate of officers and trustees standing for election.

The annual meeting is also when we recognize individuals for their service to Temple and community.  This year we hope you will come to honor Robert Sarason as Volunteer of the Year, and Jim BrulĂ© as the recipient of the President’s Award.  The winner of the Margie Markson Johnson Heart & Soul Award will be announced at the meeting.

June 2 - Cantor Berg Tribute

You won't want to miss a special tribute event honoring Cantor Francine Berg, who is retiring this summer after 33 years at Temple.

It is Sunday, June 2 at 4:00pm at Temple and will feature a program and a reception. There is no fee to attend.
