Joshua Nelson's "Kosher Gospel": Friday, March 30- Sunday, April 1
We are all in for a special weekend of incredible music March 30-April 1
when Joshua Nelson (video of "Adon Olam") brings his "Kosher Gospel" to
Temple Concord as our artist-in-residence. Nelson, who has performed at
URJ Biennials and in front of Presidents and Prime Ministers,
as well as at synagogues throughout North America, will lead us in Shabbat
worship at 8:00 p.m. Friday night, perform as part of a Shabbaton Saturday afternoon at 12:45 p.m. after morning service and then play at 10:00 a.m. after a Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. “Kosher Gospel Brunch” at which we will welcome Religious School students from all our area congregations. The Shabbat evening and Saturday performances are being made possible through the Regina F. Goldenberg Cultural Fund and the Sunday morning performance is made possible by the Lorraine Sher Religious School Enhancement Fund.
And to make it extra special on Friday night we welcome all to come to Deli Night beginning at 6:00 p.m. before Shabbat service featuring Carnegie Deli sandwich platters hand-carved and stacked high. Go ahead and order your sandwiches now or print out an order form.
