Especially For Families With Little Ones!purple families

Temple Concord welcomes children at all of our worship services. We also offer child care during Friday night worship so that parents can have some time to worship as adults when they choose. In addition, we offers a variety of special opportunities for families with young children throughout the year. Take a look below for an overview, and then be sure to join us!

TOT SHABBAT tot shabbat

Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their parents all delight in ourregularly scheduled Tot Shabbat worship services. Held at least once every month, Tot Shabbat offers an engaging 30 minutes Friday evening worship for young and old alike. Our clergy combines songs, prayers, and stories all designed to engage the young while also teaching the many adults in the room. Designed for those who are not yet readers, the service begins at 6 pm and is typically followed by a family friendly congregational meal. We welcome Shabbat with prayers and by eating together, either with a pot luck dinner or low-cost event.

GAN  FAMILY PROGRAMS (for 2s and 3s)

preschool roomGan (Garden) is our program for 2 and 3 year olds.  Participants come together and learn about the holidays thru crafts, food, stories, music and art. 2011-12 dates are Sep. 25, Oct. 16, Dec. 18, Feb. 5, Mar. 4 and Apr. 1.

Thanks to WRJ, led by Jennifer Satterlee, our pre-school and baby-sitting room has been beautifully reappointed.

KADIMA (for elementary age children)

Once a month Congregational Learning Director Stephanie Marshall will lead programs for elementary school age children during Shabbat services. The children will begin and end the service with their parents and will have the opportunity to experience and learn about Shabbat worship in a very child friendly program. The first program is during Shabbat worship on Sept. 23.

For more information on all programs for children, contact Congregational Learning Director Stephanie Marshall.
