Religious School
Temple Concord’s Religious School, the largest Jewish education program in CNY, weekly serves children in kindergarten through their confirmation year (10th grade). In addition programs are regularly scheduled for preschoolers, and high school juniors and seniors.
Temple Concord seeks to become partners with parents in engaging our congregation’s children in full and meaningful participation in religion and Jewish communal life, preparing them to take their places as informed, creative and involved Jewish adults.
We offer a curriculum which is designed to educate, encourage, motivate and challenge and provide an environment where our youth can discover their faith by teaching them to understand the role of God and prayer. Our program encourages every student to engage in the ongoing study of the Torah and to integrate its teachings into everyday life. We work to help every student become a participating member of the classroom community, and also help each to see themselves as a vital, contributing member of the synagogue, Central New York and world wide Jewish communities. Through education and discovery, our Religious School helps children grow into moral and ethical people, and encourages them to continue a lifetime of Jewish learning and exploration.
